Xiaoyao kicked her legs weakly and this scene upset me quite a bit.
She was like an animal caught helplessly unable to even make a cry.
His fangs stuck in her jugular while he drank must have been so frightening and painful for her.

Xiaoyao immediate recoiled from him once he released his grip.
It was very telling. She was very afraid of him.

Shiqi is back at the river waiting for Xiaoliu to return.
Xiangliu’s bird spitefully shoved Xiaoliu after they landed, and they took off.

There are just going to be so many times that either Chubby or Xiangliu literally shoves Xiaoliu into Shiqi’s arms. Xiangliu really had it coming hehehe

Xiaoliu is still mad at Shiqi, so she continued her polite distancing tactic. She also threw out the warmer and flower snack he had set by her bed.

Xiangliu headed back to camp, now that he got an unexpected power boost, he is ready to get rid of the spy. He lured Junyi out and a ( really beautiful ) powerful fight ensued.

It was obvious that Junyi was not Xiangliu’s match, but Junyi had set a trap.
Xiangliu fought hard and managed to break free, killing almost everyone in the process.

Shiqi made a spread of Xiaoliu’s favorite dishes, but even though she appeared to act like everything is fine, he knows everything is still not fine.

Xiaoliu gets a hard look in her eyes, after Mu appeared from his room looking very dispirited despite putting on a strong front.

Xiaoliu made a trip to Xuan’s winery for a ‘wine-tasting’.
Where she proceeded to spit out his wines, criticizing the tastes and even casually mentioning that the ingredients may make men impotent, successfully scaring away all his customers.

If Xuan is running a bar, there are really many day-time drinkers in Qingshui town? Don’t these folks need to work? hahaha

Xuan’s smile barely reached his eyes.

Sang told Xiaoliu to stop making trouble, but Xuan remained polite.
Even when Xiaoliu took the expensive lychees for Nian and started eating and spitting them out, he did not use force this time to take back the fruits.

Xiaoliu did not know then, but Xuan looked a little sad because mulberry wine is Xiaoyao’s favorite wine.

She told Xuan to send ‘a couple’ of jars of his best wine to Mu as a gesture of apology and they will call it even if Mu accepts.

Xuan might have not thought too much about Mu’s hurt feelings since the incident occurred, but now that Xiaoliu has made it clear that Mu is very much still affected, Xuan decided if he was going to do it, he was going to do it in style.

Instead of ‘a couple of jars’ he brought 24 jars of wine and made a big procession to make sure everyone in town knows that he went to apologize to Mu.

Mu was not impressed at first, but as Xuan downed bowl after bowl, even he started to soften and was impressed by Xuan.

He finally laughed and joined in the drinking with Xuan. They drank until night, and Mu was happy and drunk.

Xiaoliu was glad to see Mu no longer upset, and she too, was impressed by Xuan’s diplomacy skills.

Even though the matter with Mu and Nian is over, Xiaoliu was still not going to treat Shiqi the same as she treated him before. She rejected his help with excessive politeness, and he was saddened but helpless to improve matters.

I can’t say there is miscommunication going on here, because one side is desperately trying to engage but the other side is determined to shut him down. I don’t think this fox is sly but he is definitely a stubborn one, to not just call it quits and give up. Any other person with a smidge of pride would have given up after so many snubs.

Sang helped a drunk Cang Xuan back to his shop.
Once the doors closed, he straightened up, not drunk at all.

Someone hand this guy an acting award!

When Sang asked why Xuan would stoop to apologize to a commoner, he replied that for Xiaoliu to be able to poison someone like Haitang, they should avoid antagonizing him.

Its interesting that we don’t actually get a gauge of just how powerful Xiaoliu’s poisons actually are, because Xiangliu ate his like tonics. I suppose Haitang’s spirit powers is not low and its quite an achievement to knock her down.

As Xiangliu have learnt how formidable Xiaoliu’s poisoning skills are when she got his mount poisoned, Xuan now knows as well.

Cang Xuan got worried because Junyi has not returned with any news on their attack on Xiangliu.

Xiaoliu headed back to her room, and as she thought of Xiangliu while she whipped up some poison, she cursed him for good measure.

To her horror, he was sitting on her bed.

Xiangliu couldn’t be bothered with what he just heard.

He went over and just started to drink her blood without any warning.
I will drink it well

Xiangliu knew she was lying, when she agreeably said she is afraid of him. She admitted that its because he has not eaten her yet after he came to know about her specially nutritious body. He called her a liar again when she cheerfully said he can do whatever he wants with her.

Being a military snake man, Xiangliu is quite particular about sleeping arrangements ( probably his cleanliness OCD ) so he helped himself to Xiaoliu’s bed.
Xiangliu once again sleeps weirdly with his head propped up as he did in his army camp.
I am a little disappointed he doesn’t sleep all curled up and cute, but man’s got to keep his cool image.

Xiaoliu knows that he is vulnerable right now while he is in an uninterruptible healing mode, and for all her cursing and plans to poison him, it never crossed her mind to harm him now, to free herself once and for all, from his frequent blood withdrawals and extortion.

Instead, Xiaoliu only played a prank and used some charcoal to draw 9 heads on his face.
She recorded her triumph in a magic compact and skipped off to hide.

Fresh off her victory over pranking Xiangliu, Xiaoliu forgot she was mad at Shiqi. She stepped out of her room with a bright smile and ushered him over as he passed by – to guard her room door so the others won’t go in and be hurt by Xiangliu.

Shiqi was happy she called him at first but after he noticed her ‘love bite’ his face fell. haha
The poor guy is so going to think Xiaoliu had a ‘nice time’ with Xiangliu so she is so cheerful now isn’t he

Xiaoliu decided to hide in Xuan’s wine cellar.

By chance she overheard Xuan and Jingyi, and found out he is hunting Xiangliu.
Since Xiangliu is Number 1 on the wanted list, she probably didn’t think too much of it.

She did not go back to the clinic to warn Xiangliu that Xuan has sent people to hunt him but she also did not tell Xuan that Xiangliu is at the clinic.

She’s a neutral party!

The next morning.

We have one pouty fox who looks like he would like to set fire to the bedding that Xiangliu laid on the night before. hahaha

Xuan caught Xiaoliu trying to steal a chicken from his kitchen.
He spontaneously invites the latter to a meal.

It was a very tense meal, where Xiaoliu nearly poisons him twice, fearing for her life.

Xiaoliu made her way home. She checked if the coast is clear.

To her shock, someone is in her room. Thinking Xiangliu has not left yet, she threw herself at his feet, begging for mercy.

Hearing no cold snarky reply, she glanced up and saw Shiqi judging looking down at her.

So you guys are into this kind of play.

Poor Shiqi. Her “Why is it you?” and all the strange monologue about cleaning herself for Xiangliu to eat sounds suggestive and he must be thinking what strange kinky thing those two had going on.

As his heart silently breaks, he apologized for trespassing and was going to leave.

Xiaoliu is still kind at heart and she regretted sounding so harsh to Shiqi. She awkwardly told him that he can still go to her room, but he seemed to take it badly and left.

Now you have done it Xiaoliu. Who is going to change your bedding for you?

Xiangliu is actually not too far away.
He went to everyone’s pond where they wash their bowls to wash his face.

Jinyi and his men have found Xiangliu but they were too late as he has miraculously recovered.

After that Sang submits his report, after his visit to Butcher Gao to fish for information about Xiaoliu. Xuan is certain there is more to Xiaoliu that meets the eye.

Skinny and Shiqi came back from herb gathering. Xiaoliu asked a question which Skinny was dismissive of, but when Shiqi replied, she had no response. Our poor little fox.

Xiaoliu was determined to continue rejecting every thoughtful overture that Shiqi was going to make.

But she failed, because like all men, the way to her heart is through her stomach. hahaha

Shiqi finally defeated her at last, not with more apologies, but with a heartfelt promise.
Who can keep rejecting those puppy dog eyes?

Xiaoliu was moved, but she did not give him a reply.

Mu interrupted their moment. As Xiaoliu rushed off with him, she finally turned to Shiqi with a smile and told him to follow them.

Shiqi’s smile broke across his face.

Timeline is a confusing thing in the drama, especially when there is no obvious time markers.
We can only know the months passed with every full moon, or seasons changed when the characters changed their wardrobe.

Days or weeks in the drama may look like ‘the next day’, so we may miss the weight of events or actions. But at least in the world of Lost you Forever, time has weight. We don’t see hundreds or thousands of years passing with a blink.

In this case, Xiaoliu was mad at Shiqi for nearly 9 months over his ‘disappearing act’.
She understood that he was avoiding either Cang or Nian but she already knew he is from their world, and she knew that he was probably not going to be able to stay for good anyway.
I wonder if she knew what it meant for him to be discovered, would she have chosen to hide her Ye Shiqi from everyone?
